An pressing search stays underway for a German backpacker who vanished after she was final seen travelling in Western Australia.

Carolina Wilga, 26, has not been heard from since she made contact with mates on June 29, and was reported lacking to the police.

The backpacker was final seen at a comfort retailer in Toodyay, almost 90km north-east of Perth, on June 28. 

Police consider she final contacted her mates as she was travelling close to Beacon within the Wheatbelt area, 320km northeast of Perth. 

Ms Wilga has spent two years backpacking round Australia, staying predominately in hostels, funded by her work at mine websites. 

She is described as having a slim construct; lengthy, frizzy-curly, darkish blonde hair; brown eyes and several other tattoos. 

Ms Wilga is believed to be travelling in a black and silver, 1995 Mitsubishi van with the licence plate, ‘1HDS330’.

‘Anybody with any data in relation to the whereabouts of Carolina Wilga is urged to contact police instantly,’ a Western Australian Police spokeswoman mentioned.
