Neighbours biggest stars Stefan Dennis and Jackie Woodburne have joined a chorus of actors from the beloved soap blasting thefor its lacklustre tribute to the show at this year’s ceremony.
Stefan, who portrayed Paul Robinson on the Channel Ten series, said he was furious a skimpy montage of the soap was shown at the awards despite it being on-air for 37 years.
‘For it to get a tribute of 40 seconds, f**k off,’ he said in an interview with the Herald Sun.

‘It would have been nice for Neighbours to get some sort of industry vote or recognition or accolade.
‘For the industry to turn around and say thanks Neighbours, you’ve lasted and made history, here’s a little present. But we got f— all.’

Stefan said he certainly wasn’t alone in his criticism of the awards show.
Actress Jackie Woodburne, who portrayed Susan Kennedy on the show, also didn’t mince her words about the tribute, and said it felt like a ‘slap in the face’.
‘I thought it was very disrespectful to us and to the industry,’ Woodburne said.

‘That was the best they could do. It felt like a slap in the face and undeserved because I know how hard everyone works.’
She went on to call the Logies ‘bad TV’.
‘It was dismissive and in terms of celebrating our industry and the fact it’s been going 38 years, they could have done a much more professional job,’ she said.

Ryan Moloney, who plays Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi, broke his silence about how angry he was about the tribute last week.
He told 2Day FM’s Hughesy, Ed and Erin the Neighbours cast who were invited to the Logies all had bad seats with cameras obstructing their view of the stage.
Moloney said the entire 2022 cast should have been invited on stage to say one final goodbye to their peers after the show was cancelled in March.

He also revealed cast members from rival soap Home and Away had approached the Neighbours crew to say how shocked they were by the lack of a proper tribute.
‘Daniel and Nat are just absolutely gorgeous people and absolutely nothing against them, but we’ve got people who have been on TV for nearly 30 years each, and I think probably the least they could do is get us to say something,’ he said.
‘I mean we’re in the bloody [Logies] Hall of Fame. That’s not how you treat people and a show that’s in the Hall of Fame. I mean, good luck to the Logies, really.’

After the ceremony, leading industry blogger David Knox of TV Tonight said the show’s cast should’ve been invited on stage to take a bow during the on-air tribute.
‘Only a week ago the show wrapped 37 years of production, unsurpassed in Australian drama history,’ Mr Knox wrote after the ceremony.
‘That cast should have been on the stage and taken a bow,’ he said.
