Roughly 1,000 residents in parts of southern Queensland are being told to evacuate their homes – as floodwaters rise after heavy rainfall.
An emergency declaration has been issued for Inglewood, east of Goondiwindi.
An emergency alert has also been issued for residents of Leyburn – with a major flood level of 4.2 metres expected on Canal Creek.
