Record high backlog of NSW surgeries English Headline

The Bureau of Health Information says over 18000 people are overdue for elective surgery in public hospitals which is nine times higher than before the Delta lockdown last year.

More than 15000 people have waited over a year for knee replacements, 600 for hip replacements and over 24000 for cataract surgery.
