Optus customers affected by cyberattack English Headline

Up to nine million Optus customers are affected by a colossal cyberattack.

UNSW Institute for Cyber Security Enterprise Director Nigel Phair says this hack of data will go down in history as the “worst data breach that has ever occurred” in Australia.

Mr Phair told Englishheadline Australia that Optus users should have a “heightened vigilance” and should utilise wherever additional multifactorial authenticity is accepted to safeguard personal data.

“There’s lots of serious and organised attacks day in and day out, a company like Optus needs to be better at it,” he said.
