Retailers expect a ‘lag effect’ to Australian feeling Inflation English Headline

Australian Retailers Association’s Fleur Brown says there is a “lag effect” with Inflation affecting Australian people’s retail spending.

“We do predict that there is a lag effect, inflation side of things, certainly moving into next year,” she told Englishheadline Australia.

“We expect to see more impact with Australians tightening their belts as they start to feel the true impact mortgage rate increase and the like.”
