Small businesses face an estimated $14,000 cost if the Albanese government’s multi-employer bargaining changes pass parliament.

A committee this morning scrutinised the controversial industrial relations legislation, which has yet to secure enough votes to get the bill through the Senate.

The government estimates medium businesses will need to fork out more than $75,000, while big businesses face a more than $94,000 cost.
