Nationals MP David Gillespie says some expert engineers are “really concerned” there will be “major deficiencies” in energy when transitioning to renewables.

Mr Gillespie told Englishheadline Australia small modular nuclear reactors can be a solution to these possible deficiencies.

“We have huge uranium resources, it’s just that we choose not to use them,” he said.

“We are a nuclear-ready country.”
