The New South Wales government and the rail union have finally reached a deal to end months of dispute and disruptions in the state’s network.
Both parties have agreed to enter mediation and accept the Fair Work Commission’s ruling.
While the arbitration is underway, the union committed to not undertaking any industrial action.
In a letter to its members, the rail union said the government was forced to make a number of concessions – including the modification of a fleet of trains.
