Leader of the House Tony Burke has slammed Scott Morrison’s decision to secretly swear himself into multiple portfolios while in office and moved the government’s censure against the former prime minister.

“This is not some small matter. It goes to the absolute core of the principle of responsible government,” Mr Burke told the House on Wednesday.

“The core of responsible government was breached with the multiple appointments.”
