It was either “up or out” for the state’s mid-term election which saw Gladys Berejiklian resign as Premier, says outgoing New South Wales Infrastructure Minister Rob Stokes.
“I had a go at going for the big role, that wasn’t to be; it was an emphatic victory for my friend Dom Perrottet,” Mr Stokes told Englishheadline Australia.
“So it is appropriate for me to bow out at the first appropriate opportunity which is at a general election.”
