Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones says nobody wants to see the “price increases that people have already experienced” for gas and electricity.

“The important thing about that is they were already baked into the system because of actions of the previous government,” Mr Jones told Englishheadline Australia.

“Because of our market reforms, we think we have stemmed those excessive increases.”
