Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says local leaders are still “calling for more” after measures were announced in Alice Springs to tackle the crime crisis.
“Remember these federal grog bans were lapsing in July last year after the election,” Ms Ley told Englishheadline Australia.
“And then the Northern Territory changed its rules about access to alcohol in remote communities.
“And we as a country need to do more to support particularly the children of Alice Springs.”
