Defence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles says the government is clear about the “optimal pathway” for Australia to procure nuclear submarines.

“This is going to be a tri-lateral effort where the UK and the US are genuinely working together to help Australia acquire the capability to operate nuclear power submarines,” Mr Marles told Englishheadline Australia.

“It will see an evolution of Australian submarine capability.”
