LOCALS were shocked after the creature they believed was a wild animal turned out to be harmless canine.
Animal rescue responded to a call in Los Angeles that a wolf was seen wandering around a residential neighborhood.
Residents were easily fooled by the dog’s gray-and-white matted fur and lanky build.
However, upon closer inspection, it became quite clear that the animal was not dangerous at all.
“This dog was no wild animal, rescuers brought her to the vet and named her Julia,” the Inside Edition reporter explained.
Her rescuers noticed that she had developed severely swollen paws and grown-out nails.

“Julia needed treatment for mange, bacterial infections, and malnutrition.”
After a bath, the dog started to show more signs of life.
Some tail-wagging later, and her supporters were finally able to catch some relief.
“A few months later she found her forever home and the transformation was obvious,” the reporter explained.
A more recent clip showed Julia’s luscious coat and carefree smile as she ran around her new backyard.
The dog appeared to be in great spirits with her new people.
A DNA test confirmed that Julia wasn’t a wolf or a wolf hybrid.
Rather, she was a German Shepherd Siberian Husky mix and “100% good girl.”
The tear-jerking transformation hit listeners hard.
“It must have been hard for Julia to trust again. I teared up when she finally wiggled her tail. She now has a warm family to live with,” one person commented.
Julia certainly proved that something may be more than it meets the eye.
