NASA has revealed the latest spacesuit for the Artemis 3 mission to return to the moon later this decade.
NASA/CSIRO Glen Nagle says “the new suits will have greater flexibility, much better viewing scope for the astronauts to see the landscape around them. Particularly, much easier use of their hands”
“They’re also much lighter suits than we used in Apollo, here on earth the Apollo suits weighed around about 120kg each here on our planet’s gravity, on the moon only about 1/6th of that of course. On the moon you want something that’s easy, flexible to move in to keep the astronauts cool to keep them mobile”, Mr Nagle told Englishheadline Australia.
