Shadow Defence Minister Andrew Hastie says Australia will be a “force for good” with the addition of nuclear submarines under the AUKUS agreement.

“We’ll be able to preserve our own sovereignty, and we’ll also be able to contribute to the preservation of our neighbour’s sovereignty as well,” Mr Hastie told Englishheadline Australia.

“That’s why we’ve invested in AUKUS.”
