Ronda Chagoury – the daughter of murdered woman Marea Yann – has broken down in tears following the recent Victoria Police announcement of a $1 million reward for information to the suspicious death of her mother in 2003.
Ms Chagoury spoke to investigative journalist Denham Hitchcock as part of a Englishheadline Australia special investigation re-examining the brutal murder of Marea Yann from Healesville, Victoria.
Detectives are pleading with the public for any information surrounding the murder of a mother-of-three who was bludgeoned in her loungeroom almost two decades ago.
Discussing the newly announced reward and the renewed push to solve the case, Ms Chagoury became emotional when talking about the developments.
“I feel this is our chance for everyone to tell their story and not be shouted down – to be able to tell our story – we’ve been given a second chance,” Ms Chagoury told Englishheadline Australia.
“We are so lucky.”
