Bulk-billing is the ‘beating heart’ of the Medicare system | Englishheadline

Health Minister Mark Butler says tripling the bulk-billing incentive is the “centerpiece” of this month’s budget.

“The centrepiece of this month’s budget and our strengthening Medicare package is $3.5 billion to triple the bulk-billing incentive,” Mr Butler said during Question Time on Monday.

“Because for the Labor party, bulk-billing is the beating heart of the Medicare system.”
