A man has been charged with multiple sexual assault offences following three separate reports of abuse in central Victoria’s Bendigo region.
The 36-year-old allegedly assaulted three victims in the span of just two days on May 17 and May 18.
Two of the three victims were under the age of 18.
The first incident relates to the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl on Wednesday evening.
It is alleged the girl was assaulted in a public park at Crook Street in the suburb of Strathdale about 5.30pm.
This was followed by another alleged attack the next day on a 21-year-old woman.
The incident unfolded about 1.30pm on Edwards Road in Kennington.
Just two hours later about 3.30pm, a 14-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted on the same street.
Detectives from the Central Victoria Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Unit arrested the offender on May 19.
After being interrogated in relation to the three incidents the man was charged with several counts of sexual assault.
The Kennington local was remanded in custody to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
