Shadow Veterans Affairs Minister Barnaby Joyce says Labor is spending “so much time” talking about the Voice to Parliament instead of focusing on the increase of power prices.
“Why don’t you think about refurbishing the coal-fired power plants with high-efficiency, low-emission technology … yet also keeping the price of power down by keeping supply up,” Mr Joyce told Englishheadline Australia.
“We have this mythical belief if we have 82 per cent renewables by 2030 that power prices will go down.
“There’s no country in the world that has reduced power prices through renewables.
“They probably haven’t concentrated on it enough because they’re spending so much time talking about the Voice.”
