The renewed search in Portugal for Madeleine McCann has come to an end.
Investigators have confirmed the material gathered will be handed over to German authorities.
Teams from the United Kingdom, Germany, and Portugal had been searching a reservoir in Portugal after receiving tip-offs.
The reservoir is almost 50 kilometres from where the three-year-old toddler went missing 16 years ago.
The reason authorities focused on the reservoir was because it was believed to be a haunt for the prime suspect named in the case, Christian Brueckner, a convicted German sex offender who’s denied any involvement in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
