The New South Wales government is hoping to boost school attendance to pre-COVID levels.

A campaign to be launched on Thursday will aim to drive behavioural change among parents and students and includes reducing absenteeism close to weekends and reducing family trips during the school term.

The campaign will run until mid-July.
