Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says the Albanese government is “not doing its job” amid concerns inflation will continue to rise.
RBA Governor Philip Lowe is appearing before a Senate committee on Wednesday.
“The budget papers said the cash rate would stay at 3.85 per cent until early 2024 so that if that rate moves upwards then we can clearly point to it being because of the government,” Ms Ley told Englishheadline Australia.
“The RBA has had to do a lot of heavy lifting for this government.”
