Record rainfall causes widespread flooding in Hong Kong | Englishheadline


Hong Kong has been inundated by heavy rain resulting in widespread flooding, which has submerged dozens of vehicles.

Hong Kong Observatory attributed the deluge to the remnants of Typhoon Haikui.

Falls of 158 millimetres were recorded in the hour to midnight, marking the highest hourly rain level documented since 1884.
