Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced Victoira’s housing package after the state cabinet approved the legislation.
A short-stay accommodation tax and several more reforms are to be announced as part of a long-awaited housing package.
The Victorian government hopes to build more than 800,000 homes over the next 10 years to address the housing crisis in Victora.
“We will also sell and develop surplus government land, some 45 sites right across our state,” Mr Andrews said during a media conference on Wednesday.
“They will deliver some 9,000 additional homes.”
