They were inseparable in theAustralia Villa, but Courtney Stubbs and Noah Hura have now called it quits.
In an announcement shared on the Channel 9 dating show’s official Instagram page, the pair revealed they felt COVID border closures played a major part in their split.
‘We had a really strong connection but being apart from each other and being as fragile as we were has made us drift apart,’ Courtney told.
It’s over! They were inseparable in the Love Island Australia Villa, but less than a week since the Channel 9 show’s finale, stars Courtney Stubbs and Noah Hura have called it quits
‘He can’t come to the Gold Coast, I can’t go to Melbourne without coming home. The border closures caused quite a problem for us,’ she continued.
Meanwhile, Noah was on the same page, adding: ‘It does suck and it is really sad because I do think we get along really well. The timing with everything at the moment is hard.’
The two also shared videos on their respective Instagram Stories, confirming it was an amicable split.
‘Hi everyone, please ignore what I look like my eyes a little swollen,’ she said indicating she’d been crying.
‘But I thought I would address Noah and I…. Unfortunately Noah and I have just decided to be friends.
Breaking her silence: ‘I thought I would address Noah and I…. Unfortunately Noah and I have just decided to be friends,’ Courtney said in a video on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday
Message of kindness: ‘And if everyone can just be kind to Noah and I, something don’t work out and that’s fine, but just thought I’d ask for everyone to be kind because it’s not nice’ she added
‘I still really like him and nothing has changed in that way but unfortunately because I’m in the Gold Coast and he’s in Melbourne, we were so fragile that it just wasn’t really working.’
Courtney went on to explain it wasn’t ideal that she had to share a statement about their separation, but she did owe it to their loyal fans.
‘At this point, we don’t know what’s going to happen in the future but we are just friends,’ she added.

Well wishes: ‘She was an amazing person and she will always be a huge part of my life and my Love Island journey. I wish her nothing but the best,’ Noah said on Tuesday
Noah also added that it was a mutual decision for the couple to end their relationship.
‘I just wanted to confirm me and Courtney have decided to go out separate ways.

Courtney and Noah’s sad announcement comes one day after fellow Love Island couple Aaron Waters and Jess Velkovski announced their break-up.
The couple, who met on the 2021 season of the show, confirmed their relationship was over on Monday.
‘I obviously have a lot of respect for Aaron and there’s no bad blood between us. I wish him all the best in the future. It’s sad it didn’t work out but I think it’s for the best for both of us,’ Jess told.
Aaron added: ‘I don’t have any bad intentions towards Jess or anything. I wish her all the best and hope the best for her future but unfortunately it didn’t work out between us.’

He also explained how disagreements during their final weeks in the villa put a strain on their relationship.
‘We still had issues seeing eye to eye on a situation in the Villa. I wanted to move past it, and at least thought we could grow from it, but there was no real growth there, so I just felt like it was best to part ways,’ Aaron said.
On Wednesday night’s finale episode, Mitch Hibberd and Tina Provis were voted Australia’s favourite couple.
Given Jess and Aaron were finalists on the show, it appears that besides the winners, Chris Graudins and Zoe Clish are the only couple outside the villa who are still enjoying their love story.
