Carey shares Moroccan and Monroe with her former husband, Nick Cannon.

Before she became involved with the media personality, the singer was married to her first husband, Tommy Mottola, whom she met while working on her debut studio album.

The two tied the knot in 1993, although they eventually separated in 1997 and went on to finalize their divorce in 1998.

She later began dating singer Luis Miguel, from whom she broke up in 2001.

Carey went on to meet Cannon, 41, while shooting the music video for her 2008 track Bye Bye.

The two began a relationship and went on to tie the knot in April of that same year.

The former couple waited for three years before welcoming their children into their lives.

Cannon eventually confirmed that he and the singer had separated in August of 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016.

Carey spoke about co-parenting with her ex-husband during an interview with Vulture, where she stressed that she wanted her children to have a healthy relationship with both of their parents.

‘They know that I’m here for them. They know that if they want to talk with their father, he’s a phone call away,’ she said.

The performer also noted that she raised her children to be self-confident and to be able to conduct themselves in ways she did not in her youth.

‘They have stability. That’s what I didn’t have…They have a whole lot of self-esteem and self-worth that I never had,’ she stated.
