Myer department store heir marries in stunning ceremony at family farm in rural Victoria – after cancelling wedding a week out due to lockdowns

William Myer has married his partner Sarah in an intimate rural ceremony.

The heir to the Myer department store fortune wed at a family farm in Merricks North, Victoria, a 16-hectare property 45km from Melbourne, over the weekend.

In photos shared to social media, Sarah looked stunning in a sleeveless ivory gown that fit close to her body.

William meanwhile was dapper indeed in a black tuxedo with a bowtie and white dress shirt.

The newlyweds beamed as they posed for photos with family and friends after giving speeches at the idyllic location.

On the grounds, a large ‘William and Sarah’ sign made of hay was erected, with stunning views in the background.

The couple were officially married in March, with Covid lockdowns shuttering their plans.

They had to cancel their original shindig with family and friends just over a week before it was to be held

The lovebirds first married with just a few guests on March 27, before hosting a bigger wedding over this past weekend.

‘Although it wasn’t what we had planned we’re so grateful for these memories,’ Sarah wrote on social media. ‘A day we will never forget. Intimate, simple and beautiful’.

The pair shared daughter Montana, who is seven months old, and the tot took part in the ceremony.

William is great grandson of Sidney Myer, who founded the iconic department store all the way back in 1900.
