But things seemed to be going as well as ever for Nicolas Cage and his wife Riko Shibata, 26, when they were spotted making their way through John F. Kennedy International Airport inon Saturday.
The 57-year-old Oscar winner and his much-younger wife both looked effortlessly cool in black leather coats while strolling with their hands clasped together.

Cage looked toasty in multiple layers of leather, as he wore a long black overcoat with a black furry collar over a thinner biker jacket.
He matched the jacket to patterned black velvet pants and boots, but he added a splash of color with a hot pink William Shatner T-shirt.
He looked as if he might have stepped out of a Western with his large dark fedora, and he had a striking set of large yellow-tinted glasses with chunky frames.
Puzzlingly, the Pig star also carried a smaller gray hat in his hand.

Shibata, who met Cage in her native Japan in 2020, also layered up with her own biker jacket, which had a quilted texture.
She had on a white blouse underneath and what looked like a voluminous black jumpsuit, while she covered up with a fuzzy black coat.
Cage’s wife let her lustrous raven locks fall across her shoulders, and she completed her all-black ensemble with a shiny black handbag and platform combat boots.
Earlier this month, she showed off her glamorous style in a pink kimono covered in delicate floral embroidery, while the actor looked looked dapper in a black suit with a gray fedora.

Cage’s marriage to Shibata is his fifth, which follows his 2019 nuptials to Erika Koike, though the marriage was annulled after just four days.

While speaking on his brother Marc Coppola’s radio show in August of last year, the National Treasure star revealed some of Shibata’s exacting requirements for her engagement ring.
