This comes as Leigh-Annebroke down in tears over her mother on GMB on Tuesday – days after was spotted in a clinch with her ex Lucien Laviscount.
The singer-turned-actress who is on the promo trail for her first movie Boxing Day, which is due for release on December 3, sobbed as she revealed her mother Deborah wouldn’t be able to attend the film’s premiere that evening.
At the end of the interview, the star said: ‘Can I just say, my mum’s watching and I know she can’t come to the premiere. But I love you so much and there’ll hopefully be so many more premieres to go to.’
Boxing Day tells the tale of a British author Melvin living in America (Aml Ameen) who returns home to London for Christmas to introduce his American fiancée, Lisa (Aja Naomi King), to his eccentric British-Caribbean family.
Things get even messier when Melvin and Lisa run into Leigh-Anne’s character Georgia, who happens to be his ex-girlfriend.
Elsewhere in the interview, the star, who appeared alongside director and star Aml Ameen said: ‘It was like walking into a whole new world…
‘I couldn’t refuse it. Three auditions later and I’m starring in my first movie and an all-black cast as well, it’s the first of its kind. I’m so proud to be a part of it.
‘This film allows a lot of the black community to be seen and me to be seen and you (Aml) did that for me.
When asked if acting was now the main priority for Leigh-Anne over the band, she said: ‘Definitely not, singing is my number one passion but I do have the acting bug now. I’m just excited to keep nurturing it and see where this takes me.
