Coles has previewed a daring but delicious December range, adding dishes rarely seen in an Australianspread with cashed-up shoppers tipped to spend billions.
Among the 150 Christmas products about to hit the shelves include trendy cheeseburger spring rolls, sweet and sour lemongrass candy canes, and an Aussie twist on the cult American dish ‘turducken’, a three-bird combination of roasted chicken, duck and turkey.
With Australians still unable to fly overseas and more than eight million people in Victoria andstuck at home during long lockdowns, experts predict shoppers may be ready to blow plenty of their $140billion in household savings.

‘Most people are expecting this will be the biggest Christmas ever … and we are expecting that they will start spending as soon as they are able to,’ Coles chief executive Steven Cain told The Australian.
